it would be nice if we were all masters of the universe
but the better half of me knows this to be untrue
i can move mountains with my hand
but they are only mountains of sand
perhaps it is more true to say that we are all
masters of our own universe
and the smaller part of me would pray for this to be true
ping ping pong tap tap taps tell that repetition is success
and we all strive for our best valleys
to be discouraged by tragic failure
failure tends me disguised, or rather mis-disguised
by the silent echo of nothing
and if silence is failure, then i am both a winner and a loser
the former is good, the latter is bad, so i'm told
but the construct is only natural
and in this natural high and low
i float in the median, the average
but neither in the positive, or the negative
i guess it's all about strict resonance that's all
and you want to know how this all started?
yeah me too.
we'll drink fresh squeezed orange juice every day
so we'll never really have to concentrate
lazy susan spinning round, and round
sacrifice my lips for sound
yeah, hope you get what you came for
i hope you get what you paid for
